So my baby can breath better tonight...

Yep finally got the CAI installed and took off the short ram.

I did this all without having to take the bumper off or the fender.

Oh and a few notes:

*The boot that is on the intake. Yes it is the wrong size getting a new once tomorrow.

* the boot that is in the middle of the pipe is temporary. there will be a bypass in there.

* Don't make frun of my ghetto wiring that i havn't fixed up yet. it got dark on me.

If you want a write up, just say so. i'll be happy to make my contrabution to the FAQ

hehe......

I didn't say anything about the wiring.

What are your performance opinions? Might wanna be kinda careful if that TBI gasket doesn't seal well. You don't want to get anything in there.

yesterday must have been CAI install day or something. I put my iceman in. didn't have to take off the bumper either but I did have to bend it back to get to that third bolt - way back, I got so pissed at one point I almost felt like just ripping the bumper off. People always talk about the $$ per HP ratio, well I don't know whether a CAI is worth it that way but I'm not sure it is worth the effort per HP ratio - at least for this amateur.

As for power, lets just say I was hoping 1-3hp was going to be more noticeable! haha, oh well. But the one thing I definitely agree with is that the CAI sound is simply addicting!! Holy **** it sounds like I'm about to unleash hell from my engine
I was luvin that.

I use to have a short ram and i think it is a lot better because now it pulls hard all the time where as with the short ram is use to lose some of my pull when the engine got hot.

yea that TB boot sucks butt. but i have to get a new one today beause stuff closes at 6 around here on Sun.

As for the simple green issue, thats today's job. and i am going to paint my valve cover and exhaust cover as soon as i get my seals.

The next project is as i say: valve cover gasket and oilpan gasket and paint valve cover and exhaust cover, oxygen sensor, sparks and wires, and change tranny and flush coolant.

Next project after that when i get money is new headers and hiflow cat.

Come on its summer time Yo!
