So many problems

I got a 1996 Prelude on trade today and this car is becoming a nightmare. It has a f22b2 out of a 1997 accord in it ( at least thats what I was told). I replaced the slave cylinder cause the old one was in pieces and the clutch pedal went to the floor. Even after I bleed the slave for 20 minutes, the pedal goes to the floor and I have to pull it back up with my hand. What could be causing that? Problem 2 is that when I press the gass pedal it doesn't pull the throttle on the throttle body. And for now the last problem is that it revs really high and drops then revs again, the whole time its running. I checked the antifreeze and bleed the air out of the cooling system but its still doing it. I really need some help cause this car is driving me crazy with all the problems.

You need a bleeder kit ......Have you got one?

This will allow air to escape......without one air is just sucking back in after you press and pull the petal down.

As for throttle....Have you examined your cable/linkage for damage or binding? Have a friend push the petal as your looking at everything.

Onto the loaping idle........There are perhaps two millon write-ups everywhere about this issue. Take a peek around and see what others have experienced that is similar to yours and see if that solves your troubles

I got the clutch and throttle figured out. I think I might just understand the Honda thing. I got the car on trade for an old truck that I had and I think the body style is really nice. Its a good project and I'm thinking about seriously doing an engine swap.

Haha, well you have come to the right place. This site primarily caters to technical Prelude discussions. We have a ton of searchable content on swaps and performance upgrades, so there is plenty of reading available to you. We are always willing to answer questions if things don't make sense either.
