So i went back to the dyno...

last january i dynoed my car on a dyno jet, and tried to tune it with a vafc. The numbers were good, but the turning didnt really help, the vafc didnt work. Here is the dyno results from jan 2004, at 61 degrees F

Today i went to a mustang awd dyno. the Temp was about 86 degrees F, and this time turning was done with the apexi safc. I m satisfied with the numbers, consdering the milaege and the mods. I got nothin to worry about for my motor until i go turbo, so i m good til i graduate.

h23
max power = 150.1
max torque = 150.8
outside temp = 86F
mileage = 165625

engine mods listed on dynosheet.

if u read correctly i had the vafc in january, and yea, i was only using for air and fuel purposes, the vtec wires werent connected, but somehow even without the vtec wires connected, it was still actin up, so i sold it and got a safc a while back to a friend and install it myself, it was working fine on his 5th gen, so my conclusion was that the vafc absolutely needs vtec signals in order to function properly. Lesson learned., I got it really cheap at the time, and i had plans for getting a h22, that was the main reason. I mean a vafc is a air fuel controler, just has extra wires for vtec, so if they are not connected, i figured it would work, i didnt read about anyone trying it, so i went ahead with it, for the price i paid, didnt hurt to try. we leaned it back 15% and the car was reading it but hardly, which is why my base run and final run on the january dyno are pretty much equal.

Note: My mods havent changed since the dyno jet, and it was colder then. Yesterday was 25 degrees hotter, and we all know that mustang dynos lowball numbers compared to other dynos. I cant ask for better numbers that, i just wonder how the motor would have done back when it was around 20k miles

^^^ haha, i kno right. that weight is just standard, he got it from the book that they have with all specs of all cars.I thought the car was about 3000, but the table he got it from showed 3250. I got full interior, stereo in the trunk, and spare tire. Rims are bout 16 or 17 lbs with tires on.
