yea it's the JDM 2.2L DOHC motor... i believe it has 160 hp & 148 tq. Unfortunately for my budget .. this is all I could afford.. but I love it... good strong motor.

I wanna find some one that has it & has experienced mod'ing it. Eventually I'd like to do some port & polish, maybe some ITB's, Cams, gears, etc... I wanna go all NA on it... BUT my issue is... what fits, what's compatible. I wanna find some who has already gone thru all this... that way I don't spend money HOPING parts will fit or work. Pretty much I just need to find some one thats already gone thru all the headaches hahaha.

I had one. it worked great for me for 2 years then started smoking like a biotch. I ran it with the h23 ecu w the cel on the whole time. I think i washed the rings, but it still ran great and got very good gas milage.

Well so far no probs with mine. My previous setup was an F22a1 Auto ... all I did was change out the motor. So now I'm running an F22B motor, auto, F22a1 ecu, F22a1 intake mainfold, DC intake with K&N filter, S model DC Header, Random hi-flow cat, Apex'i World Sport 1gen exhaust... so it flows like a champ. So thus far I know all the above is interchangeable .

I have had one in for 5 years now and almost 100k miles in my car. I haven't had any major problems - just general maintenance. It feels like it pulls harder than the H23 up top, but I miss the low torque. I have yet to see a F22B dyno. I run mine with the H23 ECU - no CEL. I have pretty much all H23 parts, except the motor. Everything H23 bolt-on related is interchangeable. It's basically a H23 head.

sorry Jay, I got excited when I say "F22B" but I was too late. I rarely get on anymore, school it too much damn work.

yup its pretty much a h23a1 head with a f22a1 bottom. so parts should be interchangeable from any of those two engines.

The head is near the same, it has 85mm block instead of 87mm like the h23 so the head has a smaller combustion chamber area for the smaller bore.

^^ wrong. An h23 waterpump will not work you need f22 water pump. The h23 timing belt works, but people say a type r timing belt works better.
