Smell of Something Burning

I have a burning smell coming from the engine, I see no leaks, no drips, no nothing. What should I do? Any info can anyone suggest?

H23 engine? maybe something getting dripped onto ur exhaust and burning up.

my 93 Si smells like burnt oil or something burnt after i park it or sometimes when standing in traffic. my oil only leaks through the bolt on the pan and i think through the gasket too, but im not sure.

i dont know what is burning. i've tried to find a leak but havent been able too. only sign that something is amiss is that my exhaust, where the 2 pipes from the header meet, seems like it has something encrusted on it (burnt oil maybe?), but i dont know where that could have dripped from.

All right, I had the same problem you did... but you may have something different. See the problem for me was that I had to change my gasket. It's like 12 bucks and it should do the thing. When I had this problem, sometimes there would be smoke but whenever i stopped driving I would always get that smell. The problem was that there was a little cut in my gasket, and oil would drip down and hit my exhaust, causing the burn smell. Hope this is the case for your problem.
