Hey guys, got a bit of a leak from where this hose attaches to the valve cover. Sorry don't know what's it called. Anyone know what can be causing this?
the leak is in the area where the hose meets the valve cover. Sometimes it doesn't leak. Thanks in advance mates!
It's the PCV inlet line, air goes into the valve cover through that hole, if oil is being forced out then the PCV valve may be bad. Only air is supposed to pass through that hose.

A bad valve wont mess with the idle, take it off and make sure it moves up and down. Stuck open and you'll burn oil, clogged and the hose your pointing to can pull blow by, where air is supposed to enter the VC through it.

that's the best way to do it because you do not want oil to be forced up through the valve cover side and into your intake and ultimately, into your combustion chamber (not good)
^That is NOT a good way to do it at all. That way renders the PCV system useless and causes excessive sludge build up in the engine by not evacuating blow by gasses from the combustion process.
Please go learn how a PCV system works, putting those cone filters on the valve cover is the dumbest thing people do.
Thanks Mini, you always come through. I checked the pcv. When I shook it, it moves up and down, sorta rattles. I cleaned the little bit of oil around where the pcv goes to the valve cover and I did the same thing around the Hose that I showed in the photos.
Went for a test run. After 30 mins of driving, I checked the areas. No oil around the pcv valve, but there is still a little bit of oil around that other hose.
Do you think the valve closes sometimes and I still need a new one?
