Which size wheels?

Which size wheels do you think looks best on the 4th gen? 17s or 18s? I'm looking to get ADR Fuels (I was looking before I knew tannie had bought em).

Depends.

IMO 18s if you've got a body kit that hangs low
17s if you're stock, or have a mild kit/front lip

with the WWRS, both look good.

^^ I agree, 18s go with big and aggressive kits. 17s with everything else.

The 17's look better than the 16's, but I picked the 16's for a couple reasons.

They're cheaper in general (17" tires cost way more than 16").

With 17" wheels you'll need lower profile tires (if you live in a place that has potholes like I do, you'd be scared for your rims.)

16" are generally better for accelleration and braking, especially the rotas vs the ADR's because rotas weigh a lot less than the ADR's.

I guess I'm more practical

If I do a kit (which I will down the road), it'll be a lip kit. I dont like full kits. I'll prolly do 205/40 tires. Thank you for your comments

In that case, I'd go with 17s, but with a 215/40 tire. Right now on my 17, I've got a 205/40, I'd like some more meat, as well as the slightly larger contact patch that you'd get from the 215s.

I know they're mad expensive but I've seen 225/40/17 tires....I think they're Nitto 555NT or something......What would be the downside to this wide a tire on that size rim? I've got 205/40's as well and would like an upgrade.

Oh and yeah.....I love my 17's, they go with pretty much everything.

I would say go for 18's...i have 18's and they are fine....no rub at all...i am pretty slammed too, barely 1 finger gap...but i am on 215/35's....wutever size u decide to get, get some 215/40's (215/40/17 or 215/40/18) series tires...they have better protection.

wow 35s are like paper thin. I had 45s on the accord and they seemed to thick. I'll go for 205(215)/40/17 prolly.

Was this person a 5th gen owner? 4th gens far more accomodating than 5th gens when it comes to wheel offset/tire size. I'm on +40 offset 17x7 wheels with 205/40, lowered about an inch and a half, and haven't rubbed once. On a 5th gen, it probably would. You won't have any problems with 215/40 as long as the wheel offset is +40 or higher. Brendon2k actually had some +38 18s with 215/35s and he didn't rub either.

Jason (N77NXC) has 18's with 215/40's on his ride with a drop. He also has all this on a 5th gen. Your car would be fine with 215/40s! You wouldn't rub and even with a drop you might rub a little but it wouldn't hurt you much.

I had 205/40/17s and I didn't rub on my sportlines. And I know they were sagged. I never once rubbed. I think my wheels were a +40 offset IIRC.

I'm on 215/40/17 with about 1 1/2 inch drop and do not rub at all. The wheels are Exel Eckos in gunmetal. 17x7 +42 offset

if i found an 18" wheel that looked great and weighed anywhere near as much as my 17s while remaining affordable, id be all over it! 17s make the most sense otherwise....

I have 18 lb 18" RH cp10s with 215/35/18 and have had no problems at all. I think 18 lbs is pretty light for an 18 inch rim.
