Simple pulley question

I know this subject of pulleys has been brought up many times, but i still can't find the answer to the following question:-

How hard is it to install the p/s and alternator pulleys? And how do i actually take the old ones off?

Simple instructions would be useful, as i'm a bit stupid when it comes to engine work, but i want to learn things myself. I have a Chiltons manual which is ****. It only tells me how to remove the p/s pump, and the alternator - not the actual pulleys.
I presume i don't need to remove the actual alternator and p/s pump just to change the pulleys

well after you take off both belts. The alt. you need to wreches on is a 22mm i think but it has to haev a hard angle neck to reach in and hold the nut and a 10mm deewall socket withthe 22mm hold the nut and with the 10mm turn boltit is easier if the alt is out of the car but i did it while it was still in. the P/S is a reverse threaded nut i put a screw driver through one of the holes and turned the nut pretty simple. Do everything in reverse withthe new pullys.
However you do need new hardware (bolts) for AEMs on both 4th and 5th gens i believe for the P/S pump the pully is too big. And this is a fact: the P/S or the alt. belt rubs on something and eats the belt. right after i did the install maybe 20-30 miles i smeeled burning rubber and i looked under the hood and half the belt burned away

I had the same problem. the powersteering pulley is to big, so I had to space out the powersteering pump out about a half inch with some nuts. the belt that came with the kit was to long and even with a shorter better fitting belt it still rub real bad for about two days. this is not an easy job. I would only do it it i was sure I knew what I was doing. good luck.

Thanks guys. I was hoping it would be an easy job, of unbolting one pulley, then bolting another on in its place. I guess Honda just like to make it difficult for us guys to work on our cars!!
