side skirts removal

Need help,
I am trying to remove the side skirt from my prelude to give them a paint job. I am pathetic at this, i realized that at the bottom of the car there are plastic screws that won't un-screw.
Any advise on how to remove the skirts without breaking them would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

In matter of fact i just took mine out and put some vinyl on them. They came out good until i put it back together and the vinyl is a lighter color than my car. But it can stay there for a while until i get my wings west side skirts.

But anyway to take them out, Remove all the bottom screws and the ones between the front wheels and the door. Then after you get all the screws out slide or push it towards the front of the car. There are these clips that hold it and you have to slide towards the front of the car to get it out. Just keep playing with it that is what i did!

Hope that helps you out a little.

The screws on the bottom actually are push button clips. Yes, they have a phillips head but they are made of plastic,So when they get old enough and get enough road grime on them, they will not unscrew.Get yourself a thin flat head screw driver and work the inside edge of the button, and try to get it popped out enough to where you can get a pair of wire cutters and pull it out the rest of the way. You may have to pick some more up at the honda dealer, they are very cheap. I would recommend it. Good luck

Listen to slp mode. Take the screw on each end off. Then pry that sucker off. Definatly replace the puch button clips though. It will save you much frustration.
