Si -> VTEC swap blue vtec wire question

okay....I know I need a SEARCH wire....

I have the green wire hooked up, where the F does the blue wire hook up? (the light blue that goes into the green plug with a black that goes to the ground)

I tried twice. once I successfully hooked into the tach wire (oops), next time I hooked it into something that threw a CEL. Where do I hook this up? The car is prewired, but I dont know where the blue wire is....

pics would be extremely helpful! If you advice helps, I will paypal you $1 + whatever % paypal charges for fees

If its pre-wired for VTEC then it should be floating around the passenger side shock tower, IIRC.

If you are having problems I would just rewire vtec yourself, just find pinouts from here linky and snip the correct wire from the ecu harness, splice and solder a wire and run it to the connect. done

that's what I was afraid of....

my first thought was "ill just find the blue wire that looks like this...how many light blue wires can there be?" boy was I wrong.... there cant be too many light blue wires left.....process of elimination ftw!

if you look closely at the wire, you'll see little paint dots on it every few inches, thats another way to decipher the wire.

okay, after some doctor work, i found it. I was doing it too fast the other night and overlooked the connection. this was one of the plugs around the ABS thingy. it had a light blue wire coming from the car, and a black rubber plug going into the engine side of the plug. thanks for the suggestions!

Good Job! Btw, I thought I would add here that my 93 did not have either wire AT the computer. So, MINE is definitely not prewired... But as you mentioned in my thread, it might be because my car is a 93 4ws.

Now I got to find some computer pins.. I believe i need one of each..the solenoid, a4, appears to be a big pin, and the oil pressure switch, d6, appears to be the little one.

thanks again

sam
