si vs vtec

so my friend test drove a 97 vtec auto the other day and he thinks it will beat my 96 si manual with CAI. i dont think it will just wondering what the rest of you think??

Lets put it this way...at LACR, I have never seen an SS Prelude run better than low 17s. I saw one with a CAI/Mugen header/mugen exhaust running 17s. I run high 15s with I/H/E. I ran low-mid 16s stock.

cd55: mid 15's? are you an auto? i ran a 15.6 with i/e.....but that was, oh no it can't be.....with the F22B

I will say that you (the Si) will win, unless you cannot drive worth anything

No, LACR is a crap hole. It's at elevation, and has one of the worst launch surfaces in the nation.

oh okay, just wondering. what is the elevationat LACR? I will take my GPS next time to Steele when i go, but here (home) its like 700ft
