si and s combatability

i may have to switch a old 92 si that has a blown engine w/ a s engine i have easy access to ... so this is for all the lude guys who realy know there stuff.. what sort of problems would i run into in that swap.. is the exaust going to be a pain.. the transmittion (the original s was a manual and the si is a auto) is it simpler to switch over to a manual now while the engines are out? where would i get a 92 si manual trany? and any thing you guys got as advice is also much apreciated. thanx

well you would have to get a si computer but you will have to wire in a knock sensor, and IAB( the dual stage intake mainifold)

youll what the H23 or H22 mainifold too and the IAB silnoid

you would have to use the clutch and flywheel from the S ( i would say get aftermarket)

as far as exhaust it shoud be fine or very close

thast all i can think of now i know i am forgetting a few things but when i remember ill post it

how about save up and get an H22 or another H23, don't downgrade from an Si to an S... b/c what if you want to swap in another engine in the future??? Do it once and save time and money.
