SI Exhaust Thoughts...

Anyone have advice on the different exhausts out there for the 4g si? I'm looking at an Apexi WS, but who has experiences with others? Thoughts?

i personally luv my tanabe g-medallion....many many people comment on its deep sound and look. it is kinda pricy, though, id say u can get it for somewhere between 550-650. the muffler is only stainless, though, but to me, that's not a big deal. i probably wont have the car for the rest of my life, so fuk it. sounds the best out of any ive heard, and definitely not too loud or too quiet. the only thing is u can get a full stainless system for the same price or even less. im sure others will give u more comments. the tanabe hyper sounds lovely, too, just louder.

I have a DC Sports one.
It's pretty quiet comparable to others I've heard, but I guess it depends on what level of noise you're used to. Cruising around, below 2-3k rpms, my foot light on the throttle, I can't hear it at all.

here's a story:
The day I had my exhaust put on, I had to go pick up my gf. I went to pick her up (campus police around, so I went *really* slow), and on the way home she asked if I put it on yet. I'm like, "Yeah." She's like, "How come I don't hear anything?". I'm then itching to floor it, but can't (campus police), so afterwards when she gets out, I show her it's on

Now that she recognizes it's tone, she can tell when I'm coming down the street.

I have had the greddy PE for about two years and it is the
the best investment. Over the years, the joints have rusted, but nothing a 1500 degree paint wouldn't cure.
It have been through all kinds of weather and driving
condition and I still luv my greddy PE
The sound is not too loud, but it is there when you stump
on the accelerator.
Other times, I just turn the radio off, just to listen to the
sound.

Word of advice, if you decide to choose a PE, you will have to
dremel the holes to fit the Si. This is the only trouble you will
have to go through

Just got my tanabe g-power installed two days ago, and I love it. At first, I thought it wasn't loud enough, but after a couple of days, it sounds perfect. Not annoying at all.

Thermal R&D! What sold me was that it is full stainless. Sounds, looks, and fits great.

well, my vote would have to be for the thermal r&d. i just ordered one last week. for the longest time i couldn't decide between the tanabe g power and the thermal, but seeing as i live up in the great white north where they put more road salt down than you can imagine, i had to go for the full stainless thermal.

Get the WS if you are older and prefer not to get hassled. Get an N1 if you want to annoy the neighbors and let the popos hear you coming from a mile away
