Shut the hell up!

I thought that would get your attention! I was thinking, because the interior noise level of my car was quite loud, that I would like to try to spend some money on that spray noise-reducer. I think I remember someone saying that they got a great product at home depot.. But I'm curious. Is there much room to spray behind door panels? And is it very difficult to get the door panels off? Thanks folks. Also any more info you have on products like this, let me know. (any tips too!)

there is plenty of room behind the 4g door panels for sounddeading material (they are easy to take off as well). I would reccomend using a product intended for car audio. . .there are tons of different brands. I would check out www.bquiet.com. stay away from the "origonal" though, it onlyworks well on horizontal surfaces.

NO dynamat if you're worried about weight. That stuff is HEAVY. Ever picked up a roll of it? It's HEAVY.

Dynamat tends to be a bit pricey..

So that's why I'm looking at the foam products.

I believe you are talking about greatstuff, which comes in a can at home depot. Personally, i believe it would be a disaster to put that behind your doors. The only reason i used it under my rear deck was to basically fuse it to the metal braces underneath so it wouldnt rattle. Greatstuff is EXTREMELY sticky, and adheres like supergule, and dreis into a very hard foam. if you put this behind your doors, you will have a mess...and it will do absolutely nothing to deaden sound. if it adheres to the inside door panel AND to the metal door, you're fvcked, you will not be able to take off the door panel ever again probably, bad news. So stay away from greatstuff UNLESS you are using it to keep your rear deck form rattling, and when you do that, be VERY careful, as it will not come off of your trunk carpet(i know from experience, got a drop on it) and you will not be able to remove it once it is done. Keep in mind that it does expand, so you must not try to stop it from expanding through the bottom, or else it will come out in between the rear glass and the deck, which could be disaterous. Good Luck! It worked great for stopping rattles in the deck, just use it carefully.
