i have a h22a1 with 115,000 miles on it.. should I get a JDM block now and do stuff to it, or wait until my engine craps out?

115k miles isn't that bad at all. If you want 0 downtime then yea get an extra block.

I agree with red and scali. If you can get it cheap, then get the block and go ahead and start building it up if you want, but please remember that you have a Honda, and if you take care of it properly, you'll be waiting forever for it to die.

i got 240k on my civic and its still going strong. on my lude i got around 120 and its not running, to no fault of her own. if her owner would have taken care of her it would still be running. i am expecting once i get my lude fixed to get AT LEAST 150k out of her if not 175-200K. take care of your care and it will last you a long time.
