Should I go with OEM brake pads

I have researched different pads like Hawk and such, but I am still unsure. The question is should I go with OEM pads or aftermarket? I only plan on daily driving, but I am going to be driving a lot. Any suggestions would be helpful

I love my AEM pads. Reduced brake pedal dust is a plus and better stopping power

Love my AEMs, they have much more initial bite than stock.

I have Hawk HPS pads running on Brembo blanks. They are nice street pads. They are not too aggressive if you use light pedal pressure but when you stomp on the brakes you better believe the thing will stop. I get about the same amount of dusting as I did on my stock pads. They are a little more sensitive to temperature though, they like to be warm to stop their best.

I have AEM, I don't think I will get them again, they squeek like crazy, and dust bad, I have slotted rotors, so thats probably why.

I heard good things about Axis pads and ECM kevlar pads as well.

I've heard good things about Axis pads. But I just got OEM because the performance shop I went to told me that you can't go wrong. Honda OEM has one of the best. Don't know if Nissin makes both AEM and Honda OEM but the shop did steer me away from AEM due to supected squeaking problems

I just ordered some powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads, I will post some feedback when they arrive and I get a chance to install them.

I have AEM break pads on right now with my big brake kit. Once they are done im probably going to get axis. The thing that pissed me off the most about my breaks is that i warped the rotors one day when i was at the track, so i might be getting rid of them before they are done.

I'm using Mintex 1144 pads with blank rotors. They are good from cold, give off about the same amount of dust as OEMs and once they've warmed up a bit they stop you like a fat chick in a doorway. I considered the 1155 pads, but seeing as the car is only road driven, I thought they may be a bit too harsh for the street. I will probably use them again in the future.

You must be the first Prelude to use aftermarket Mintex pads

I'm using Axis. They are good pads - They do give off a lot of dust after a full day of stop and go driving. I have 20k on them - they wear considerably well for me.

I use Honda OEM brake pads. Nothing is better than stock...NOTHING. I was going 130 on a highway one time and I ****ing slammed on the brakes to see what she would do and I went into a mad spin. Remember I was going 130 MPH to start. Well, I was spinning and the car flew into the ditch and flipped over. I didn't have a scratch on me, thank god. I totaled the prelude but it was fixable. But again let me remind you, nothing is better than stock brake pads...NOTHING.

Everything I told you above is a bunch of bull. I am wrong about the stock brake pads and about totaling my car. I just thought I would throw in some humor

I bought OEM pads since I got them at a decent price. They only cost me about 46 out the door for the rears.
