I can get a 1994 Prelude S w/ 106,500 miles on it for $5950 firm. Should I go for it? It is dark blue, CD player, interior in perfect condition, only problems are a slight rust spot on the driver's side back wheel area and the antenna makes crunching noises when it's retracting. Other than that it runs like a champ.
Should I go for this one and possibly switch to VTEC once I have it paid off, or should I take my luck, cross my fingers, and hope that an Si pops up around here within the next several months for around the same price?
Thanks man. I really want atleast an Si, but I'm so sick of looking anymore that I'm about ready to settle for an S. I think I'll hold off on this one though, atleast see if they'll drastically drop the price.

I paid a butt load for my 4WS($8900) year and 1/2 ago, but it was well worth it because it is fully loaded with every factory option except a cellular phone.
Okay how about this one: A '92 Si w/ 95k miles. DC sports header and upgraded muffler, cool air intake, venom fuel pump, eibach lowering springs, ACT clutch, new front tires and rear tires are in very good shape. Projector headlights, clear tailights, moonroof, custom interior. Pioneer cd player, pioneer and jvc speakers. What is the most you would pay for that? Thanks!
I wouldn't pay much more than a stock 92 Si with 95k miles. I wouldn't want the headlights, taillights, custom interior and I don't know about that fuel pump. I'd say 5500-6000.
I got rid of my 93 Si with only 41k miles dropped on eibachs and 17 in rims for a mere 6200. It was worth at least 6800, but I needed to sell it fast.
Ok be cautious. Don't believe they guy if you can't see the "mod" There is no reason for him to have an ACT clutch or a Venom fuel pump with the THREE other mods. He might be bsing you. I'm not saying he is but could be. Mike
Yeah, I really would prefer a stock prelude, but as long as I don't have to pay much more than what a stock one would cost, I'm cool with it. So should I ask him why he has that clutch and fuel pump?

You should see the damage I could do to a car... my being a chick and all I'll rip you up in a race, too. I'm not afraid to push it. Haha, okay, I'm done talkin' smack.
i would say go for any Trim as long as 92-95. not 96 (but you still can work it out)
S/Si/VTEC all have its own fun...
but here's the price you should pay for:
$3500 or less for an S
$5000 or less for an Si
$6500 or less for an VTEC
***Only Stock car with no mod. I will never ever buy a mod'ed car in person no matter how. why? will explain below.
then drive it and love it.. save money alittle by alittle and do the mod alittle by alittle. And you will love your car more and more. I personally think it is the most important factor to get a sporty car. Don't worry about whether S, Si, or VTEC... you can always do the swap or anything... but at least if it is non-vtec then you will have sometimes to deal with non-vtec.. then once you do the swap you will appreciate the VTEC more than anybody else...
this is my theory... not sure if you like it.. coz I think any car should have its own strength and weakness...
peace... just make sure you pay different price for different trim.. as for an S with $5950 is too f*cking expensive...
I got a steal and a half i got my 92 Si for $700. It may need a new motor and has two small rust spots on the rear quarters by the wheels but hell everything else is perfect.
