shottin' flames

how many of yall that are running testpipes shoot out flames it is normal to do it isnt it since we have a straight pipe for a cat because earlier tonight i pulled out of a friends driveway me and another friend were in my car i started out in 2nd took it up to 60mph (my rpm gauge doesnt work so i use my mph gauge to know when vtec engages in the next gear) and when i throw it in 3rd i see a bright red glow in all my mirrors damn i wonder what the people behind me thought does this happen to yall every once in a while?

Nothin is wrong. It occurs when there is not cat. The excess fuel ignites and there is obviously a lot of unburned vapor with preludes running rich from the factory.

Would an F20 do that? I've been considering removing the CAT to see if I get any gains, that'd be an added bonus!

It should have the same effect. The flame might be a little smaller since the enigne is less powerful.

too much fuel...get a v-afc and lean it out,(unless you like it!)
i think it looks great but i'm sure the engine cant be running to its max potential like that.

(My 2 cents).

My h22 has done that on the track, people love to see it (until the v-afc).
