shocks and coilover installed

well here it is, me and my friend installed my coilovers and shocks today ( tokico illuminas and skunk2 coilovers). It rides fine, but a tiny bit stiff, probly cause i set em all the way down fron s hit and rear. Its pretty low, but it doesnt rub. Its a real pita to adjust tho, i had to go my my friends shop and adjust front first then rear, cause i wanted to see how it saw at diff settings. I finaly got tired and took everything down to the lowest possible. I put my stock tires back one since i dont have time to align it, but the camber doesnt look bad, i have front and rear, so if i dont like it after a week or so, i ll keep the shocks and put my springs back on. SO my question was, how do you guys adjust your coilovers? how do you measure it and things like that. And how do u set it so its not bumpy or too stiff, and how should i set mine to have a confortable ride on a low rider ? I felt a bump or 2, but nothing bit, since i havent fully adjusted everything, i just want some input so i know what to double check and such.

Thanks

I just got my Tokico illuminas installed also, along with Tokico 1.5" springs. It rides much better than before with my stock shocks & ebay coilovers, but still kinda stiff/rough even at the Softest settings. I guess you can't expect too much of a comfortable ride when upgrading your suspension with performance shocks/springs. Hopefully better springs in the future can fix that. I was aiming towards a nice smooth ride like a new car, but I guess it's almost impossible with a nearly 10 yr old car. The fact that our cars are noisy doesnt help much either, when I hit a bump I really hear the dash and loud noises coming from the trunk, but oh well. I too need to mess around with the shock settings. I'm going to try adjusting the shocks to 5, the firmest and see how that feels.

Here are pics of the drop (1.5"). I personally think it looks high (judging by the wheel gap) for a 1.5" drop but I've only had them on for about 4 days so hopefully the car will settle down a bit more.

I see what you mean by the ride quality and the age of the car. Performance shocks are kinda stiff at time. Setting 5 is pretty stiff, i didnt like it too much for the the street. i had all 4 on setting 5 the this afternoon when i finished everything, and took it for a ride. Icould feel every single rock i went over. Setting 1 is feels good right now. My camber is kinda weird, i just noticed now that the wheels are a been bent in the front and the rear. The camber kits are set to low correction right now from when i had my springs. I dont feel like spendin hours adjusting the coilovers and the camber. From the looks of it, my front is all the way down on the coilover, and thats 2.5 drop, so i ma do the same for the rear, put everything on the lowest, which doesnt rub at all, and set the camber kits to maximum correction, that way i wont have to be exact bout everything hehe, we ll see how that goes.
