AT shifting weird help please

Well about 2 and a half weeks ago i had my cv halfshaft/axle replaced.. It was the right side/passenger side. Well the next morning i went from New Orleans to gulfshores 3 hour drive.. As i was getting there i stopped at a redlight now usually it goes to 3 or 4 rpms and shifts to 2nd then 3 or 4 rpms and shifts to 3rd and so on.. Well it shifted to 2nd at like 2 rpms and 3rd at 3rpms?!?! also the passing gear wouldnt engage! I stopped at the condo and let the car cool for 20 mins(because once it did the same thing when my cooling fans died and car started 2 run hot), but the car wasnt running hot.. Anyway i started it back up and it was shifting fine and passing gear worked fine for days. I go back home.. Thinking everything is fine and it might have been from the long drive at 80mph i forget about it. Well last week it does it again you go to floor it to pass someone on interstate and GLUHHHH its sluggish, passing gear doesent engage and when you stop and take off the upshifting is real early?? What could cause this?? whats weird is that if you turn it off for 30sec to min and turn it back on it will work fine... passing gear engage and shifts normal.. I dont seem to be low on fluid i lost a tiny tiny bit when changed the cv halfshaft due 2 it wasnt snapped in properly but i noticed this and snapped it in right minutes later. The AT dipstick says its not low but not full either?? any thoughts??? what would make the passing gear not engage and upshift early?? could it be running in safemode and when i turn it off and on it gets out safe mode and thats why its not a all the time problem??
