Shifting problems with auto transmission

I have a ´92 Si Automatic, and sometimes when i completely step on the gaz pedal it wont change to a lower gear, i think the normal way is if ur going on a low RPM and u floor ur gaz pedal it should always gear down right?

what can be wrong? this dont happens all the time but sometimes...

Any ideas please?

thanks

well if you build the auto tranny, you could pretty much abuse the monkey crap out of it...i believe levelten.com offers an upgrade to the auto tranny so it will handle up to 850hp...thats what they told me after talking to them...they will upgrade the torque converter, add the pts system and something else with the hydrovalves or something...so you can pretty much abuse it if you want....but all that cost around $1000 and if you have them install everything and do all the labor, it will go up to $3500 or so...is it worth the money, yeah if you take out the tranny and send it to them and do the upgrade and send you back the tranny. no if you have them work on the car and have them do all the work....
