Is it only going into 2nd? In that case I would change the tranny fluid before anything else. If you have difficulty going into all the gears, it could be a clutch disengagement issue.

My Trans has trouble sometimes going into Reverse or 4'th gear.. It will be hard as a son of a gun.. but I can get it in if i really muscle it.. Feels like it would grind but like yours.. mine does not grind either. I too would like to know what the heck the problem is. Getting tired of bouncing off 4th when my clutch is all the way to the floor and im granny shifting.

I've also had the 4th gear problem. Strangely... after a couple months it completely dissappeared, and without flushing my tranny fluid or doing anything to the cluth/tranny.

I hope my problem goes away haha, it's really embarassing when you go for a nice easy shift and people see you making faces like you're taking a **** trying to force that thing into gear. haha
