shifter adapter cut console?

Hey I just put in a Fidanza short throw adapter. It feels great but it hits the underside of my console where the boot ring and the console come together. Anyone else cut that out? How much did u have to cut? I dont want to get rid of all the surface where that staple goes.

everyone that has a forbidden short shifter has to cut that out

its ok, the staple is holding your shift boot on one side, it will be fine

Dont waste your money on that "adapter," Hit up jeremy on here (4bidden) and get a real shifter, you wont regret it....

dude, when you take off the console, all you have to cut out is the front side of the 4 sided box (when looking at it installed in your car, the side closest to the cd player) and you can cut out all the way up to the staples. thats it

yea I did that. Still hits. There isnt any more to cut away. Anyone ever use the Fidanza adapter? Maybe the Fidanza one just goes too high. I took it out so I could actually screw the console back into the car lol. Prob just going to get a handle.

with a forbidden SS on it's most aggressive setting, i didn't have to cut more than that.

now back to a stock shifter, its nice to have but not that big of a difference
