Shift Linkage problems.... - Honda Prelude Forum

I forgot to disconnect the shift linkage (like a moron) when pulling out the motor...well after about 30 mins of trying to pull the motor out of the car (the car was being lifted up by the motor!) i noticed that my shift linkage was still hooked up....

now my question is....could i have maybe messed up my shift linkage? i dont see any kinks...when i shift (when not hooked up to the tranny) i can see that it works from what i see.. but when i shift with it hooked to the tranny...my shifter doesnt seem to want to move except without force... i have not added any fluids to the motor/tranny yet (drive axles still not hooked up either) and my girlfriend pushed the clutch pedal (so now its stuck to the floor) when i had the motor out... do you you think my shift linkage will work fine when i add clutch/tranny fluid? or will i need to replace the shift linkage?

I have extra shift linkage cables if you need new ones.

ill let you know, should be done with my swap tomorrow...just need to put in the driveaxles...

another thing....
was just testing out my shift linkage by changing gears but its extremely difficult to shift, would that be because i have no clutch fluid in the car right now (in the middle of a swap)
