Shift Cables and the like.

Being an old 5g guy, a bit of things are diff with 4gs, so maybe you guys can help.

My shifts aren't lining up correctly. That's the simple way to put it.
When shifting from 1st to 2nd, pulling straight down is about 1/4 just out of the gate. I need to pull it slightly to the right to get right into 2nd, but this is bordering with the 4th gear gate...
2nd to 3rd, a little bit more drastic, about 1/2 an inch off. I can't just nudge it over and 5th gear is seeing more shifting that 3rd
3rd to 4th is deff off as well, about 1/4 an inch.

When pulling straight down or straight up, because of the gates being off, you hit a brick wall or you'll catch the edge of a syncro hahaha.

anyways:
i've installed the stock shifter (4bidden's in their) = same problem
swapped out to NEW cables = same problem
tightened all linkage, hell pressed full metal bearings into the old shifter linkage, same problem...

What the hell can I do to fix this? All gears are decently tight while in gear. No grinding any gears.

K:
act whatchamacallit clutch
act lightened flywheel
4bidden short shifter
m2b4, all stock.
jdm yo axles.

this is a 92 si auto to 92 h22 m2b4 swap.

thanks!

At least on mine the drivers side shift cable has an adjustment nut on it that allows the adjustment of the shifter left-to-right a bit.
