Yeah you need to take off the center console piece that covers the radio and turn it upside down. There will be two screws there that you need to take out and then your shift boot will come right off! It's a 2 minute job!

Do you just have the adapter piece? Either way, once you get the boot off, it is cake from there.

Just be careful with the console, because it is cheap and likes to crack at the smallest edges. And with the adapter, you are going to need to trim the plastic on the inside of the boot a little to avoid rubbing when in 1, 3, or 5th.

Try not to lose any screws, and take your time your first try. You'll be amazed by how easy it is after your first try.

Let me know if you need any help. I need to strip my interior down so I can rewire my stereo, and I can take pics if you want.
