Severe tire wear

The left side (inside) of the tire looked like the right side 2 months ago. The alignment shop said "the numbers are good... blah blah... car sits low.... blah blah... need camber kit". The car is 100% stock. If the numbers are good, why am I eating tires? Should I listen to this guy?

Thank you for the help.

Both fronts sides wear the exact same. The upper control arm joints do look a bit flat but wouldn't the alignment numbers show that somehow? How do I know if replacing the joints will fix the problem?

if the front suspension is loose the numbers may look good on the comp. but are not.. however they should check the front suspension before they even do the alignment to see if the suspension is loose.. it does look like you have to much neg. camber.. could be your control arm bushings are bad or strut is bent if you got hit etc.. just some ideas im throwing out to ya

I know my fourth gen needs all new bushings. I mean, they aren't young cars. I would definitely check the bushings.

Also, I might find another shop for alignment in the future...

i just got my alignment looked at yesterday because i am eating through tires as well. my numbers were barely out but they told me that i needed new outside tire rods as well as new lower control arms. they didnt tell me that this is what was causing my tire wear just that they needed to be replaced but since its the general concencus of this thread that this may cause tire wear id definately get your suspension looked at. i bought new tires and ill let you guys know after i replace these parts if my tire problem is fixed
