serious engine problem!

I was driving at 2am during a storm in huntington beach CA and hit a four inch deep puddle, pretty big one too, but when I hit it my car choked out almost instantly and I shifted down... after rolling out of the puddle I let it sit for a while and tried to start it again but nothing happened so I tried push starting it but it still wouldnt turn over... got it to a shop this morning and my engine's seized apparently... the guys couldn't break it loose with a breaker bar even... is there any possible way of saving the engine I have? what do I gotta do to do so?

1. to save the engine requires a full teardown and replace all broken parts, probably more expensive then...

2. buying a new engine or refurb'd and swapping in

hydrolocked probably the best thing to do is to go find a lightly used engine and put it in. you could probably sell the block and other parts on the internet and use that money to help pay for your new engine. I just had a shop tell me my tranny was shot and I found a good one on hmotorsonline.com you could look there and see what they have to offer. my only question is were you using the stock intake or an aftermarket one?

This is a prime example of why you should not use a cai. Short ram is the way to go...
