Sending back new engine!

You all listen to this and tell me what you think!

I did my swap about 5 weeks ago and have put about 2500 miles on the engine and have used 2 1/2 quarts of oil! The engine smokes when I first start it up (valve seals), it pours the smoke (not really pours, but quite a bit of smoke) when I hit vtec, and I'm getting quite a bit of blow back in to the intake (yes, I changed the pcv valve, hose, and cleaned the port on the TB). I expected to use a little oil as the engine broke back in, but not that much. I first thought that the rings where maybe seized. Well, I called the company I bought it from (NoyanUsa) last week on the last day of my warranty. He told me to put ATF in each cylinder and let it set overnight. Good idea...so I did. Well, no help. I have used a half a quart of oil in the 500 miles I've driven since! I'm guessing that the cylinder walls may be pitted. He told me to call him back by the end of the month and let him know if its better and if not, he'll send me another engine. I don't have time to do the swap again 'til mid-May!

Well, who's to say that the next one will be any better!?! What do you all think? Sorry so long! I'm just a little pissturbed! I'd appreciate some opinions though. Maybe something to look for on the next engine or something to ask him about. I'm done now! Later.

Well bro you have to admit, at least the guy isn't giving you some bull**** story that you messed up the motor on the install or something, I'd say count your blessings, and be greatful that he is willing to send you another engine.
Alot of places sell motors on a no refunds or exchanges basis!

Hope that makes you feel better, I do understand your frustration.
Matt

Well the thing with most of these engine guys is that they get there business from word of mouth. So if you happen to mention that your on message board with a few thousand members they might think twice about messing with you.

I got my engines from Hmotorsonline.com. My first engine spun a bearing within 2 weeks and had metal shavings in the oil since the beginning. He accepted the motor back and gave me a MUCH better quality engine that RUNS STRONG. And a free header on top of that.

First of all if he asks about the install just tell him you and your mechanic installed it. That always sounds good. haha

The first swap is a pain but i guarentee the second swap will take you no time at all. If you live in So california message me and ill see about coming out and giving you a hand with the REswap. I know its frustrating to do it a second time.

Thanks for the offer man, I really appreciate it. I live all the way over in West Virginai though, so your off the hook! I only talked to the guy once since all of this and plan to call him tomorrow with the final word. He has been prety cool so far though. I think I'm gonna firm up with him a little bit though to try to ensure that I get a good one next time. I wasn't happy about the condition of the engine when I got it. It was dirty and looked like it had been sitting out in the weather for awhile. HeII, it had an inch or so of water in each of the spark plug holes. I haven't told him that yet. So, we'll see!

I was going to order from hmotors, but I was pressed for time on delivery and this was cheaper delivery anyway since it was closer. I might still go there if he sends me another POS engine. As I said, I can't swap again 'til mid-May, so I'm hoping he'll send me one before then so I can tear it apart and inspect it before I put it in. (plus a few upgrades) I'll let you all know how it goes with this guy so if anyone on the East Coast ever decides to buy from him. I guess I am kinda lucky since he is working with me, but we won't know how lucky I am for sure until this is all over. Later.
