Selling an Si Engine...

Once I do the h22 swap, i'll have a 2.3L h23 Engine sitting around doing nothing, this engine will have approximately 80,000 original miles on it..... what would be a good price to sell it for....

another question....

if someone was to drop that engine in, say, a Civic, what kind of quarter mile times would he expect?

thanks

I'd say the 1/4 mile should be close to a B16 civic. . .maybe low 15's, high 14's with a good driver and decent tires. It will require a $500 mount kit to put in a civic though.

It's like taking your Si and shaving off 400 pounds. But i guess it depends on what civic.... a crx... lower times of cource. =] I'd guess in a civic coupe... high 14's.

I was basing my above estimte on a civic with a GSR motor. The GSR civics can run mid 14's all day, and have slightly more power than the H23 will. The H23 will weigh more, but also have more torque than the GSR. An H22 civic can pull 13's usually, with a good driver.
