searching my engine...(please help)

for the temp guage sender! im wonderin if its possible to use the sender that came with my gauge and still be able to use the stock one? ive found a couple of places that it could go but i dont know what those sensors/sendors are for... my chiltons is no help whatsoever. theres that spot by the bleed bolt...(speaking of wich is that thing necessary? can i just screw in the aftermarket thermometer in there instead?) theres 2 spots under neath the distrubiter (one with a snap on coneciont and one smaller one with a single wire comin out) and then that spot on the front of the motor where the upper main hose to the radiator connects to the block...

well im basicaly lost now... what are each of those for? and where can i put the sender???

also the instructions recommended a coaxial cable (it was suplied) and i would have to ground the extereior sheething at the end of the connector and the gauge, is this really necesary?

also curious if when i find the stock sender can i just splice the wire?

The two sensors you see are for coolant. The two-pin one is for the ECU (monitors coolant temp) and the one-wire one is for the temp gauge.

You can either replace the stock gauge sender or make a t-fitting to use both of them in.

The bleed screw is actually not "very" necessary though it does aid in bleeding the system. If the H23 is like the H22, it will burp itself effectively after the first driving cycle at temperature.

Not necessary. It will help prevent noise and erroneous readings. You should not need it, though if it came with it, I would go ahead and use it. Ground it to one of the existing grounds on the car, there should be one at the main harness right where those existing coolant wires come out (little grounding lug). Ground the other end somewhere near the gauge, preferably where other lugs already are.

No. You will also likely need to rethread whatever holes you use. The bleed hole will be easiest since you can remove the housing and tap it w/o getting shavings and **** in the coolant jackets.

You need to know what you have first. Is the fitting designed for YOUR car? Or just a generic one? It needs to be the proper thread. If you're adding another temp gauge, there's no reason to keep the stock 1-wire one. I would just remove that sender and use that hole, if it fits.

If you are asking about a T fitting, you need to take it to a shop and have it done.
