Screwed up in coilover install attempt

In our (a friend and I) attempt to install my coilovers, the bolt wasnt cooperating with us, and we sort of stripped the bolt in an effort to unscrew it...meaning that more than likely we wont be able to get the stock spring/coil out.
So now the bolt is seized, crushed, and rusted to hell.

Damn, should have used a torque wrench. This sucks. I may need a new strut, or will I need the whole assembly? How much $$ is this gonna run me for? Or do you guys have any other suggestions?

Have the nut cut. You are talking about the top one right, with the alan key in the middle of it. Just have it cut. I have had this problem with other cars i have lowered, but just cut it off, or ghetto rigged something to make it come off. Don't buy a new strut that is a waiste of money.

on top, thats a nut not a bolt no? but if thats what you're talking about then did you strip the nut or did you strip the allen key part?

if you stripped the nut then do like he said and have it cut.
if you stripped the allen key part then just use air tools to get the nut off, or if you dont have access to air tools then you can use one of those impact socket things they sell where you hit it with a hammer and it delivers 200 ft/lbs impact.

i had to use the latter option with the impact socket thing when i installed my GC's b/c one of the allen keys was stripped all to hell. I was replacing my struts with KYB AGX's so i didnt need to re-use the strut either. Otherwise locking the nut back down would require air tools again.
