6.0 Liters WOW that seems alot after all this Honda talk.

I feel your pain about Supra's beeing very hard to come by.

You ever thought of going Rx7?? Gots to love the 13b rotary

Good luck with whatever you choose. And good luck selling the Prelude.

Actually, the 427 stroker motor would make for 7.0 liters of displacement, although built with the current 6.0L iron truck block.

I once considered the FD3S, but because I live in Texas, finding a clean RX-7 is more difficult than locating a clean Supra, and with summer and fall temperatures in the high-90s and 100s, the environment is severely taxing on a turbocharged car. I have respect for a well-built rotary, but the sound of the motor is rather obnoxious and not comparable to the beautiful, mean sound of the lopey idle that a V8 engine can produce.

OK,
I ran NADA book value on your car and since it is older doesn't allow you to add different add-ons such as you have done.

here's a link!

Not bad for bone stock to be $$11,250.00
Good luck on finding somebody that will buy the car already modded. I like to do my mods myself. I would start high and you can always work your way down!

Thanks! Not bad at all, but after finding several cars on Autotrader for $14-$15K, the news somewhat disappoints me. Fortunately, I don't think the value of the car will decline much over the next year or so. I suppose I'll just have to save up more money and be willing to part my car out for a C5

I know what you mean about wanting to do the mods on my own, but I went to such painstaking perfection on this car, I figured any owner would appreciate not having to lift a finger. I'm sure I will get a lot of calls and questions, but few people who actually want to shell out the money for all the mods.

My cousin lives in New Orleans, and has 2FD3S' in his front yard, both with heat induced blown motors. I take it you are going to need somewhat of a reliable car, right?

Your car is gorgeous. Exactly what I'm looking to do, but have started to lose faith due to some bad luck. My car is now gray from all the salt.

Lude conduct, is that sub box fiberglass? Do you have any pics of the actual box? Thanks

I agree with James on the price of the car. People see that it's an old car and don't want to pay for what it's worth. Deceptakon had his car up for sale forever, and no one offered him fair market value. He finally sold it for at least 2K under, and his car was pristine.

NOOO!!! I wanted them soo bad. Lude Conduct, I posted this about 2 times but no response from you: Would you be able to make more of these kick panels? And sell it for around the same prices as other kick panels out there? I would definately want to buy one.

I got first dibs on the Focals and RS kit, if you part it.

Sorry, I don't read this board very often anymore. I try to keep my car clean, but I don't want to spend any more money on it. Regarding the kick panels: They're relatively small and can fit a 4" to a small 5 1/4" driver. I never considered making kicks and selling them; it was just a project I did over the summer and this was the first set I had ever made. I will sell this set though, as I plan to make new ones using press-fit grilles.

jpprelude: The trunk is a fiberglass/MDF false floor. It was EASY to make and took me less than a week. I took pics as I made it, so you can get an idea how to make one of your own. Check this link:

what's the size of your sub inclosure in cu. feet? what kind of vibration/rattling do you get with your sub setup?

Volume of the enclosure comes out to just under .90 cu ft (so I estimate). It's a little large for this IDQ driver, so I've been thinking of putting a 15" in the enclosure. Overall, I'm pretty happy with its performance, and the only rattling I get comes from the rear deck, which I haven't figured out how to remove yet. I need to throw some foam and damping mat under the fiberboard rear deck.
