Saggy bumper? - Honda Prelude Forum

I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

I got backed into awhile back, and there is now a nasty gap between my bumper and headlights/hood. Does anyone know how to cure this? Take the bumper off and push the reinforcement up, maybe?

me too, i got in a wreck, body shop didn't fix it completely, they left me a gap. i gotta go back and complain!

there are a set of plastic screws that hold the bumper up underneath the headlights. Likely you broke them and they are causing the bumper to sag.

You need to remove the bumper with bumper supports to fix this, then put in new screws..

They suck becuase it makes the bumper hard to remove, you can't just remove the shell, the supports have to come with it because these plastic tabs are impossible to get to, but the flipside is they keep the bumper tight.

i would try tightening the bolts that hold on the actual bumper. they are located next to the headlight on the high beam side. its just a 10mm or 12mm bolt. that helped pull mine up. you can also adjust the rubber things that the hood rests on to lower the hood a tad to close the gap more.
