aright, just to get something straight "mommy and daddy" didnt pay for sh*t. the car was in her name cause the bank wouldnt give us a loan unless the car was in her name, just cause i was under 18. but she didnt pay for it. i picked up the $220 and the $268 car payment. yeah thats every month. please dont assume that every young person who has a nice car got it from there rents. that pisses some of us off.

if parents can "take" and "sell" "your car", then indeed you aren't paying for it.

how are you going to say what i pay for?? the only thing you need to sell a car is your name on the title. and shes got that. as of right now i think your an a$$ and i can assure you that i pay every penny of that car.

then why would she sell something you pay into and she clearly doesn't?

that's not logical.

you aren't telling the whole story here

thats it. i skipped school, she got upset, she sells the car. it is logical to her. just not to anyone on this planet. i cant tell you what she was thinking im not in her head but that is what she did and why she didnt.

well then you are still to blame, if you can't trust your parents to honor previous contracts between yourselves you should have gotten the loan with her as a CO-SIGNER whereis the title would still be in your name

bro i i wish i would have thought of the co-signer bit.. oh wait i did, but in PA noone under 18 can be held in a contract. and since i was 17 when i bought the car, well, that would keep me from gettin the loan. and there she was my mom, i didn't think i need to write up a contract with her.

Get over the whole Mommy and Daddy thing, Im completely sick of hearing it.
If someone else has paid for your car, GO YOU! , noone has any reason to berate you for that fact. It's called jealousy.

This is my 2nd Prelude, FAR from my 1st car, I'm nearly 18, and no, mommy and daddy haven't paid a dime for my car, repairs, OR the modifications TO my car which have come out to be FAR more than I paid for the car itself.

Alot of parents buy their children NEW or halfway new cars, everyone has to start somewhere. With the experiences I've had purchasing USED cars, with my money, and all of the difficulties I've faced, and am STILL facing, I sure as hell plan to provide enough to my children to buy them NEW and RELIABLE cars. Will they get a '2021 top of the line? Surely no, but they will have something that allows them to get to and from work safely and reliably. Hate to say it, but probably a civic

Assuming honda's still around

Anyway, I've had the exact same thing happen, except I would take my 90 Prelude when I was 15 and drive to school everday.. goto my girlfriends house after school, etc.. Then my mom caught me and left a note on the car. But she returned it, hopefully your mom will do the same. Get a job, tell her you need it to get to work, and to provide for yourself..
If you dont have a job, man, let me tell you, it's the nicest feeling int he world to go from begging people for gas money to ride, etc, to carrying $100's at a time.

Anyway, my .02.
