S2000 push start

I searched and found a marvelous write up on how to install a S2000 push start on a 5th gen. My question would be will all the wires be the same, and if there is a write up for the 4th gen, were could I find that at? Thanks.

I believe the 4th gen is the same setup as the 5th. The ignition wires are similar. It'll be obvious cause those are one of the only thick gauge wires. Keep an eye out for a new writeup i'm gonna do, the "smart" s2000 button

hparts sells the button for 34 bux IIRC.

I'm going to modify it to that you only tap the button once(rather then hold), and it'll keep on turning the ignition until it detects that the motor starts. Thats the "smart" thing in the button

Also if you push the button again after the car starts, it wont to anything. It knows that the car is on. This is good if your passenger plays around with your button.

In the real S2000 if you hit the button while the motor's running it wont grind the starter. If you dont wire it the "smart" way will it grind the starter on a lude?
