Mine is on there solid but they used a TON of the black urenthane on it...
I have drilled 4 holes in the bottom of my RS side skirts (2 front, 2 back) and driven self tapping screws into the body. The double sided tape was not holding at all, except on the door sill....the thing would vibrate a LOT in the wind...and I used urethane on them to no avail...so I have some holes in the bottom but the car is lowered so no big deal...better than losing the skirts...
I can send you pics of what I did to the sides/rear if you like.

I'll post up some pics tonight...I haven't put the rear on yet cause I have to lower my exhaust first. I'm going to do that by heating the metal hanger with a torch and just hang on the exhaust till it bends
wheel well side for the front lip, the skirts and the rear and it's holding fine for a year now but the front lip is starting to come off right below the inner turn signal on the drivers side. I have to figure out how to make it stick with out having the screw heads show. I'm about to have the front lip repainted for an up coming show so I guess I'll look at it then, maybe you can screw it from the inside of the bumper or use a rivit gun. Let us know when you come up with something.
damn that prelude looks so clean man..
preludes of houston? .. i've seen a few, i saw a girl
w/ a white lude like that in houston, kaminari sides and rear
blonde cutie... wonder if you know her..
Just use self-tapping screws and buzz off the heads and put bondo over them and then paint the lip... that way the screws are not exposed. You can put as many as you want and wherever you like... i suggest a couple in each wheel well, one under each bumper lamp and you should be fine...

damn, yea im having the same prob, the corner is starting to hang down a bit.
Self tapping screws are fine....and trust me that double sided tape is damn strong...
Originally posted by Machine Head I'm getting ready to install my front lip, I have come to the realization that screws will be needed to safley mount and support this thing.
Anyone wanna give me a clue as to what type and or how long these screws should be?
Should I use self tapping sheetmetal screws? Or just drywall screws with locking tabs on the otherside?
Also did anyone cover the screws with bondo before painting? or should I just paint the heads but leave them exposed incase I need to remove the lip?
I had a rs front lip for a while ... I used double sided 3M tape and stainless steel screws. Lip held on great. Just my 2 cents..
