RSR, Tein Info Check This Out

I went to a shop here in San Diego, and check what I found out.

RSR is now called Invidia. They make full stainless steel cat backs, not the cheap piping that Greddy and others use. I have the number of the shop, but I don't want to step on sponsor toes.

Moderators: Let me know if I can post the number.

Also, Tein is making a "Basic" setup which will run cheaper than the SS. The only difference is that the SS offers more adjustablility, which is excessive for daily driving. I will be picking up a set here soon, and I will write my thoughts on it.

The whole Invidia thing is old news. They use that name when they make the Skunk2 exhausts, but trust me... when they start selling the ExMag exhausts here, it will be RS*R.

Im looking forward on seeing more info about the new Tein's though...

Isn't the exmag exhaust the same thing as the Apex'i N1, and all of the other tubular, dunk-style exhausts? What's so special about the exmag?

I went back to the guy who told me about Invidia and RSR, and he told me that he demoed the new RSR equipment and that it wasn't as good as their old stuff. I personally have looked at several Invidia products, and frankly they blow away the Exmag. I am not sure what's going on at RSR, but when I get an exhaust, I am going with Invidia. Just my 2 cents

when they previously sold the rs*r here they sold both ceremic coated and ss. ceramic is probably a better coating anyway.

See Sig.

The black is a ceramic coated mild steel. They came in both full stainless, as mine, like in my sig, and also ceramic coated. The piping from the catalytic converter to the axle is ceramic coated. Why would it matter that the piping is stainless steel, you can't see it at all.

I love your exhaust. My point is that the new RS*R don't compare to the old ones. If I am going to get an exhaust, it will either be the old RS*R or Invidia. The new RS*R do not have the same quality as the old ones. The new RS*Rs look like Pacesetters

Well that is pretty much B.S. cause Invidia is being produced here and Invidia is still a subset of RSR. I emailed RSR and asked them a few questions. I am waiting for their response.

Inv... RS-R? What the heck is that?
At one point in time there was another product line inspired by RS-R. Lets just call them "Inv...". RS-R no longer has any association with this other brand that claims to be a part of RS-R. Only RS-R products that come from RS-R USA are actually designed and manufactured at our headquarters in Japan. Do not be fooled by other companies that try to copy and knock off our original RS-R products.

If you have information about any other companies using the RS-R trademark illegally, please let us know so that we may take the necessary actions. Thank you
