i've done a search and found numerous posts about either the RS*R or the WS being compared to greddy, tanabe, etc... but what i want to know is comparing them to each other, any benefits to either one? i know the RS*R is hard to find, but should i just wait to try to find one if it's as good as i hear it is? i want something that is quiet yet louder when i get WOT as both of these are. who makes the RS*R? Anybody have pics of both? or sound clips?
They jock the **** out of the rs*r because they dont make it, it really isn't that cool or anything its just they think they're special because they have it rs*r isn't like super high quality or anything, in all honesty apexi is probably better quality, but maybe im just jealous?

RS R exhaust aint all that. 1 of the reason they stop production is because of the cost and not much gain. I meet the owner of a shop that distribute RS R exhuast (this was awhile back) n back then business was slow still. My friend had it on his 95 GSR. I believe Greddy or Apexi would be better and give u a DEEP sound n not loud for daily driver.
I've got an RS*R, and think what you want. It kicks ass. It's got a nice growl when you're on the gas & in vtec, yet is just a hair louder than stock when you're just driving around town. It gave me a nice mid/top end gain that I was looking for, and looks great in my opinion. It's the perfect exhaust for us drivers that don't want a loud and flashy exhaust.

Agree completely. Its quite and deep (no loud fartcan noise when your cruising or slowly accelerating), but when you want it to be loud (WOT), it is nice and deep and loud but not too loud.
Its perfect.

asking questions about exhausts will get you no where. most people will only go through one exhaust in a lifetime which will cost them upwards of $500. how many people are actually gonna sit here and say their exhaust sucks.
the rsr is a quality piece but expensive. i've run the apexi ws on my 4g and my old accord hybrid h22a turbo.
you cannot beat the price on those things and the quality. i got both mine for $350 shipped in different years.
also, the apexi ws in my opinion is the only true exhaust on the market that you can run with a straight pipe and tolerate it daily without the car sounding like a fart can civic.

I paid $345 for my RSR, SS muffler, 70 degree tip. The non SS-muffler ones were around $290. All brand new. This guy in Long Beach was clearing out his last of them.

I got mine from the same guy as Jordan. As far as quality goes, it is top notch and the fact that it is/was $150 less then a greddy along with its sounds makes it a great exhaust.
i was really referring to regular price. what you can get for the exhaust everyday. most people if they can find an ss rsr system now, it will run them close to $500 shipped.
not knocking the rsr, but the supply is basically not there compared to the ws. and the ws is much cheaper.

Same here, SS tip, black muffler, just about $300.
I drove down to LB from palmdale and brought 2 complete systems back in my lude... almost didnt fit.
When Ryan and I installed his RS*R, it didnt sound louder then stock, just deepe. He said he noticed some top end gain.
I have yet to install mine... More of the VTEC swap saga... I have a new cat now and should be installing it this weekend, i'll take lots of pics and let you know what the hp difference feels like between the RS*R and a cat/resonator only exhaust (no piping past the resonator).
The RS*R is of the highest quality. It is BEAUTIFULLY made. It makes my DC CC header look like some generic piece of crap when comparing the quality of the two. Like the others said, it's quiet...gives some top end gains, and I think it looks good. I've got the full stainless. The WS is pretty much the same from what I've heard, but I honestly have never seen one in person so I can't really comment on them. Bgod is right though, the chances of finding an RS*R, even a used one are slim to none. From about the time I had bought my car, I had always wanted the RS*R, but I thought I'd never find one, I just happened to be extremely fortunate. Not only did I find one, it was brand new for $370. Up until that point though, I had pretty much given up on finding one and had planned on buying a WS.
