RPM at 55mph?

I have the h23 and I was wondering what rpm i should be running at going 55mph. Its about 2900-3000 rpm. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

Normal! The transmissions are geared for performance so the 5th gear isn't very tall like it is on most family cars. Downside is gas mileage but the upside is performance!

I know it's not 55mph, but that was the first time I took it on the interstate

The tranny from an F22 motor has a much longer 5th gear (or all gears for that matter). I've looked into swapping the 5th gear into my own trans to save gas on the highway (and feel a little more comfortable driving at highway speeds)

I think your normal

I know that my car runs 3k rpms on the dot at 60 mph, as long as there is no incline at all. I have a '95 Si H23A w/5 spd. (I love my car)

Im not sure about 55mph though... I dont drive that slow (on the highway)! lol :P

can anyone tell me how much of a difference a 5th gear out of a f22a1 trans do to a m2b4 trans? im intrested in making the drive on the highway a nice comfortable feel but is it really worth all the trouble?? (yes the gear is a tad longer) ,but what about the final drives? 2 totally different final drives thus making accelaration alter through all the gears. the reason for asking is bc im considering swapping out the 5th gears putting in synchros (since the notorious 5th gear grind) but is doing all the work by putting in the f-series 5th gear in really be worth getting and installing?? all comments would be great!

if you're already going to have it taken apart....YES!

I would say so, for cruising and whatnot, however the accord trans 5th is longer than the m2b4 5th and the transition on 4 to 5 may be a bit...odd
