What are you trying to get out of switching oils?

Sh**'s expensive

Everything I've been told about it is very positive but honestly I don't really think it's worth the investment.

Amsoil is expensive. I have never heard anything bad about Royal Purple, only synthetic I have run is Amsoil. Its not a bad idea to switch but most opinions will talk about switching with so many miles if the engine hasn't been run on it for most of its life.
