Rough idle after two year stoage

thank you in advance for any help........I recently purchased one of the best lookin 4th gens out there......pics comming this week ...I dont plan on putting it on the road for 6 months. car did not run for two years. Changed all fluids except gas which was 1/2 a tank. fixed points in ignition satrted car .....rough idle with back firing for two minutes then back fire subsided....still running rough with the odd mis fire/ backfire. plugs are ok wires are new car was running perfect before i put it in storage. i am thinkin about draining the gas? lets see what you guys are made of.......thanks again

either drain it, or suck most of it out and fill it up with some good 93 octane. run some cleaner through there too - that may fix the idle problem

This would probably be a good idea to run a can of seafoam on this motor. Especially since the car hasn't been running for a while. Burn a lot of the gunk out of that motor.
