rotor ?'s

I just had a question or 2 on rotors/calipers. I just want it to look neat and clean behind my rim. Could I buy new rotors and be ok, just clean up the calipers? Or would that be a waste? I don't really want the calipers to be a different color, just to be clean and nice looking. So I am wondering if it is necessary to get calipers also. Which brand would you guys choose for rotors also. Thanks for your help..

no matter what they'll rust/get dirty over time. if you want nice looking rotors get a big brake kit

yea.. I know I should, but I can't put up that much money for one. I'm just craving a nice look, w/o a big cost.. If I could find a reasonably priced one, I might really think about it.. oh well.. Thanks anyway!

You don't have to spend a lot of money on rotors and brakes to have a clean look. I bought all four of my rotors cross drilled/slotted and cadmium coated to prevent rust for $320 shipped. Painted my calipers with a $4.00 can of spray paint and then installed the rotors myself. Total cost was $324.

They've been on the car since September and no rust

They are the same size as the stock rotors and do appear wimpy behind my 18's but it is a BIG improvement over the old rusted rotors.

Fronts are Brembo's and rears are Bradi.

Front brakes

Rear brakes

^^ I hear ya Charlie, that was the best investment. My rotors on my brand new Mazdaspeed are starting to show rust on the hubs, I should have had them coated when I bought it.

At least I won't have rust on the Prelude!

BTW: I have to give credit where it's due, I could not have installed my rotors without the write-up from Charlie and Todd. If you decided to go this route, save yourself some money and install the rotors yourself using the write-up available on NTPOG.org
