I don't know anybody w/ Neuspeed's rotors, but based on the HIGH quality of most of their parts ever produced, I'd say they're a safe bet.

are brembo only crossdrilled and slotted? i am not looking for a crossdrilled rotor only slotted thats why i am looking into the neuspeed...no pic but they have them at preludeparts.com...i figure a ark rotor with a red accent on it will look nice...kinda like the AEM pub only 1/2 the price

What would be the ideal rotor for the 4th gen? We don't want cross drilled do we?

Cross drilled rotors tend to crack. Slotted rotors won't really help you brake much better. I have Powerslots, and love them, but the Hawk HP+ pads and stainless steel-braided brake lines help more than the rotors themselves, unless you're increasing the rotor size, as in a brake swap from a bigger-rotor car.

well, if they tend to crack why would aem/brembo charge like 500$ for their kits...?? some of them require 17"+ rims and are like 2g...

only thing i've heard about cracking is if it heats up too much, if you dont go crazy man i wouldn't worry about it.. not really sure though, might want to get an opinion from someone who has these...

also, steel braided brake lines help a LOT from what i've heard just by themselves, so you might wanna pick those up too.

i would check things like the rotor weights. having a cross drilled and slotted is essentially weight reduction. less rotational mass.

Actually....

Cross-drilling helps to keep the rotors cool, less prone to brake fade.
Slotting keeps the pads clean, esentially by scrubbing them down a little everytime they slide by.

If you want weight reduction, go with WRC style CF rotors. $$$

I have heard that slotted rotors will increase brake dust on your wheels. Is that only for a small amount of time in the beginning??

There was a topic a while back about cross drilled, and slotted rotors. The general consensus was that unless you are into real racing on a track, the cross drilled and slotted rotors are just for show and wont slow the car down any faster. The main purpose of cross-drilled rotors is too cool them down to reduce brake fade, and unless you are truly racing you wont expierience brake fade with the stock setup.

The best way to go would be buy Brembo blanks, better pads, and stainless lines.

It doesn't matter how much most companies charge, if you do your homework on PO, you'll read plenty about people recommending against cross-drilled rotors, b/c of cracking. I think they CAN be less crack-prone if they aren't actually drilled (the metal is formed w/ holes in the mold). What I read on this site, esp after searching and asking questions told me to stay away from cross-drilled rotors, so I just went w/ Powerslots. Slots will typically increase the amount of brake dust, but so can the type of pad you use. Hope this helps. And yes, stainless braided lines do help.

how much did you pay for the powerslots??

also, i've seen a couple places that say their pads are 'dustless'
they are either red or green pads, i cant remember where i saw them, but i know someone was posting about them a little while ago..

I think I paid about 200 bucks for my front rotors, or somewhere close to that price, including shipping. I went through www.nipponpower.com

They might be pricier than Si-sized rotors, b/c I upgraded to VTEC-sized rotors, calipers, and pads (well worth the wait). The red or green pads your referring to are made by EBC, and a lot of people like them. More people are starting to go buckwild and go for pads by Project-Mu, or Endless. Hawk had a lot of options, and although they are pretty dusty pads, I love them.

hmm, for some reason when i was reading in a car and driver review.. i think it was that
it was saying the si had shorter braking distance... and it has smaller rotors...etc

you notice a lot of difference with them?? do you have the ss braided lines??
