rockers!

hey guys i just did a valve job on my h23 and umm the mechanic said i should drive with the rocker arms pretty loose, well im going to drive to san fran, im in los angeles. my question is if its bad to drive all the way there with loose rocker arms? they click alot and it sounds scary!

the rocker arms shouldn't be loose. your suppose to do a valve adjust so the clearences between them and the lifters are fine. what was his reason for leaving them loose?

you dont want em loose, mine came loose and the car wont drive right and your idle will sound like a diesel truck.

according to him they have to settle before i adjust them. and he said i run the risk of burning a valve if i adjust them normally right now. so yeah ummm idk...ps it does sound like a diesel car. ha
