rims, system, h22???

I have been saving the majority of my paychecks for quite a while now and I am trying to decide whether I should dress up my car, (rims, sound system) or continue to save for the h22 I want installed. I want the power but from what i saw tonight at LACR (LA county raceway), even built hondas are only running low 16's and high 15's. What do you guys think I'll run w/ an h22 in my si? I have custom paint, neuspeed drop, tokico shocks, and cleared lights. Should I continue to make the lude look good or should I save for my motor. I'm at $1700 right now with a $600 paycheck on the way. I know a JDM h22 will probably run me about $2500+$500 install. The rims, system and tint would cost me about $2300. I just don't know what to do first? What do you guys think?

get the H22. not only does it improve your performance greatly, but it also looks nice. there is no reason to have a car that looks fast if its really a turd.

my .02

I would leave my car in all stock form until I made as fast as I could, then start working on looks. when you start adding exterior upgrages you'll get more challenges to race. What about a turbo upgrade for your Si, build the bottom end, fuel sysetem, and ignition, then slap a haridryer on that sucker and push 10-12psi.

That's what I'm talking about ... build up the H23, and install turbo. I've got my kit sitting in my room. I'm saving up dough to get the Quaife LSD, then enough to have the clutch work done ... then it's on to a buildup/rebuild. The H23 is strong!!

Connections with local bodyshops. The owner of my shop was sponsored by Dupont and supplied chameleon from them.

I tried to get Saleen Mystic, but they told me it would be illegal for them due to a Ford patent.

My opinion on this topic, since I've already wasted so much space...

Do the deal thing.

If you see rims cheap as hell, buy them.

If you see a motor part cheap as hell, buy it.

If you're going to pay normal price for all (dumb) then save and TRY to buy all at one time from one shop.

We give huge discounts when people do this. Usually not even charging for certain parts.

Typicall I'll spend 4k-6k a time... wait a few months, then do so again.

Course, it all depends on the connections you're able to make.
