is this right? 195 whp limit?

I was searching some old posts and someone said that the ecu limits the wheel horsepower to 195? they were talking about fifth gen NA cars, but i know some of the turbo people here have much more than this, what's the deal? is this an obdII thing or a fifth gen thing or what?

I didn't think the car can detect the hp. You might run into problems like the injectors are running over full duty.

From what I have seen it affects OBDII cars. It's not 195 MAX or anything like that, but just an average number. People find it hard to mod N/A past that point.

I think that's how much power you can put down with a stock ECU before you should consider a standalone ECU. Once you get that much power NA, you have to worry about the ECU being able to give out enough fuel or something like that. And with OBDII, the ECU doesn't respond to mods well, so getting a standalone will be more tolerable to mods.

I know what I'm talking about, but I can't put it in words.

He's the man
