Reverse Torque makes my EML indicator come on...

Well I have posted in the past about my EML constantly coming on when I am driving and I always get a code 7, which is the TPS.

Any ideas why this may be happening to me? It is only when I have to reverse out of a parellel parking space and I am on a downgrade (so I have to gas it pretty hard not to roll into the car ahead of me).

I can reset the ECU and the light will go away until I have to gas it hard in reverse again.

I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Sounds like the sensor is being stupid at or close to WOT. Or it doesn't like sudden changes in position. Either way I would suggest replacing the sensor.

I am by no means an expert in this so I would get a second opinion.

Maybe engine torque in reverse is streching the wires making an intermitent connection, but only when the engine is torquing the other direction...?

thats something along the lines of what i was thinking... but i really dont think theres anything I can do about it. I think for a brief moment when I am reversing my TPS just isnt "connected" at the initial reverse acceleration and then it reconnects after the initial "jerk" of the car in reverse. It just sucks cause for that brief moment I can feel something is wrong but then everything is normal again.

Ive checked the TPS connection and it is a little loose as a result of the clip breaking that held it on.
