had this same problem. your gunna hafta go down a slight hill backwards will keeping your rpms around 2 grand and try to force it in. It will grind a bit and then slip in. repeat this process a couple times and you will be good

If you have one of those short shift adapters, make sure that small allen head screw didn't back itself out, Had the same problem once, that screw backs out then you lose reverse.

I had the same problem with my old transmission, I still need to fix it. If the rollback isn't working, it could be your 5th gear synchro hub, they can mushroom out and you won't be able to go in reverse. I have an M2Y4 sitting in my garage with this problem. I had Todd Marucci explain this to me via pm's. He said part #7, 23626-P16-317 on Here would have what was needed if you can do it yourself.

Ok, I did the rolling back trick and jam it to reverse. Got stuck in reverse but I can reverse! I have to jam it back to neutral. Should I put in new trans. fluid? Will automatic trans fluid work?

you will hafta force it back into nuetral, and repeat the process. Get new tranny fluid. I dont think automatic fluid will work. Just go to honda and get genuine gear fluid. I am going to have to do the same thing
