reverse lights are always on

i found a thread about how to do this
but can you guys show me a picture of the linkage between the shifter lever to the transmission?
i don't know where it is and i don't want to screw around with my engine....

Are you asking where the reverse indicator is on the transmission? Its right in front, easily accessible under the upper coolant hose.

are you saying that you WANT your reverse lights on all the time, or they are on all the time and you want to fix it?

there is a reverse switch on the transmission. I dont know if you have a manual or auto but with the maunal its the only 2 wires going to the tranny. I believe it takes a 17mm to remove. Mine went out and i had NO reverse lights.

I had the same problem - you have to replace the reverse light switch:

Reverse lights remain on all the time!

i have a manual..
can you show me a picture of the engine and circle the thing i need to take out? or fix?
or do i need to jack up the car to get to the tranny?
